Introduction:
Born
and raised in Germany, Hans Fraembs is a South African national. He spent
the first half of his 30 years in the commercial aviation industry in the
operational and marketing fields, and the second half in management
positions for South African Airways in Europe. During this phase he was
directly responsible for the day to day running of his business units,
including the wide scope of management functions in the operational,
financial, marketing and human resources fields. His assignments also
involved the facilitation of team training, planning and implementation of
strategies.
Managing a national airline in a foreign country included the role of
representing both the company and the national interests. It involved the
creation and facilitation of multi-national co-operations, joint ventures
and pioneering the expansion into neighbouring countries.
He was
instrumental in the implementation of Performance Management and Corporate
Generic Audits in his business units.
Besides
German, his mother-tongue, Hans Fraembs is fluent in English and Afrikaans. He
holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Management from Henley Management
